Haptrec is a sole proprietorship operated by Chris Eldering in Arlington, Virginia. It runs a privately owned automated trading system for the owner's own account. This site exists to describe the operational alerts that system sends, and to whom.

Who receives messages

Exactly one person: the account owner and operator. There are no customers, subscribers, members, or third-party recipients. No message is ever sent to anyone other than the owner of this system, and no phone number other than the owner's own is ever messaged.

How the recipient opts in

The sole recipient is the owner of the system, who configures his own mobile number directly in the alerting configuration of software he owns and runs. Consent is self-granted at the moment the number is entered and confirmed. There is no signup form, no marketing list, and no mechanism by which any other party could subscribe a number — the configuration is reachable only by the account owner.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message to end delivery immediately. Reply HELP for assistance. The owner may also remove the number from the alerting configuration at any time. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies with system conditions and is typically a few messages per month; alerts are only sent when an operational fault occurs.

What the messages contain

Messages contain no personal data, no financial account details, no credentials, and no promotional or marketing content of any kind.

Privacy

No personal information is collected from anyone. The only phone number stored is the owner's own, held in the owner's private cloud configuration and never shared, sold, or disclosed to any third party. This site sets no cookies and performs no tracking.
